2022 Starter’s Orders Pinot Noir Reserve, Yotes Court

A really delicious red from one of our favourite English wine producers, Yotes Court.

2022 is the first vintage of this 100% Pinot Noir and what a start! This shining ruby Pinot Noir sings with aromas of ripe red cherry and violet supported with base notes of tobacco and vanilla from ageing in French Oak. The palate has a bright acidity with light but grippy tannins.

A small select plot of Burgundian clone Pinot Noir was reserved for ‘Starter’s Orders’, only to be produced in exceptional years. These grapes sit pride of place opposite the Paddock Lawn where customers can admire them as they ripen. Grapes for this wine were picked by friends, family, and supporters of Yotes Court Vineyard at the 2022 Harvest Experience.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better English red better than this under £25 a bottle.
