One of the most delicious Brunellos I have ever tasted, the 2012 from Uccelliera is bang on for drinking now.

Over the past 3 years this wine has been consistent with every bottle I have tasted, showing classic Brunello characteristics such as spicy black cherry, blackberries, leather, cedarwood and exotic spice.

The Ucellierra estate was established in 1986 and is now considered one of the finest in Montalcino, producing outstanding Brunello in all vintages.

2012 was quite a warm vintage so this wine won’t be one to lay down into the next decade for but for pleasure over the next 2-3 years, this superb effort from Uccelliera takes some beating.
