Cantina Terlano is famous for producing some of Italy’s most age worthy white wines and their top Pinot Bianco (Raritá) sells for over £100 a bottle. However they also produce wonderful wines lower down the price scale and pound for pound I think their Terlaner Cuvée is one of the best Italian whites you can buy.

It is a blend of 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon Blanc and knocks you for six straight from the off. There are beautiful aromas of citrus, white peach and green apple on the nose which explode on the palate. Superb texture and ripeness is what this wine is all about whilst retaining a lovely freshness that the cool vineyards of north east Italy excel in.

I’d drink this every day if my Doctor and bank manager allowed it. Glorious.
