Whilst steeped in history, Domaine Vacheron is somewhat at the forefront of single vineyard expressions of Sancerre, approaching the wines in a more Burgundian fashion, showcasing each specific vineyard site by site.

With cellars located in the historic centre of Sancerre, Domaine Vacheron have vineyards primarily in the hard, flinty soils of Sancerre as wells as smaller holdings on softer limestone and clay soils. Vacheron’s ‘Village’ Sancerre is a combination of both terroirs, resulting in a subtly mineral and wholly satisfying wine.

Great precision here with delicate purity and an excellent finish. This is made from vines between 30-50 years old and spends four months in tanks on lees.
