So here’s a thing, an English rosé that looks and tastes like it could come from Provence – can this be true?
Err, well yes. This fantastic new rosé is a blend of mainly Pinot Noir ands Pinot Meunier, with a bit of Chardonnay, Bacchus and Pinot Gris added for good measure. The grapes are sourced from family owned vineyards in Kent and East Sussex and the wine is made just outside Canterbury in Kent.
It really does taste as good as it looks with seductive aromas of peach, red berries and just a hint of spice. It ignites the palate with complex flavours of redcurrant and a twist of pink grapefruit. The finish is long and seriously moreish – it’s a seriously good wine. And at 11% alcohol it’s the perfect lunchtime picnic tipple.
