This Domaine was set up in 2005 by brothers Marc & Alexandre Bachelet and they own excellent organic vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Maranges and Santenay. The quality of their wine has caught the attention of many a Burgundy lover, both critic and consumer, including Neal Martin, probably the world’s most influential wine writer.

If this is a taster of the 2020 red Burgundies then sign me up, as this is drop dead gorgeous. It has seductive raspberry and cranberry aromas with just a hint of funky earthiness, like a forest in autumn. The purity and concentration of fruit on the palate is just a joy to behold and you savour every single drop.
