A beautifully elegant Barbaresco from one of the unsung producers of the region.

Castello di Neive are the actual owners of the famed Barbaresco vineyard Santo Stefano. They lease some of the vines to the famed producer Giacosa but Castello di Neive’s Barbarescos (that are a fraction of the price) are well worth a look too.

The 2018 Barbaresco has a wonderful red cherry fragrance along with hints of rose petal, liquorice and spice. The tannins are already soft and with an hours decanting this wine is a delight to drink now.

Exquisite with some grilled pork steaks.
