2016 Pouilly Fuissé ‘Grande Réserve’, Domaine Guy Saumaize, Maconais, Burgundy

£25.00 inc. VAT

Big flavour, silky yet light palate and a lingering finish.

Quite a rich Burgundian white that reveals finesse and balance throughout. Creamy and buttery with a lovely touch of oak that adds a slightly nutty character to this beautiful wine. Rich but restrained, there is a real elegance and a sense of quality that shines right through to the end.

A versatile white that will go beautifully with poultry or fish, salads or just as a refreshing glass on its own.

I can’t believe it’s not Gavi!

This superb Cortese from Piemonte gives many a more expensive Gavi a run for their money. So what’s in a name? Gavi di Gavi is certainly one that brings to mind classy Italian white and a price tag to match. This wine isn’t a Gavi di Gavi but it’s darn close to one as it […]
