2016 OSA, Maremma Rosso (Sangiovese/Merlot), Querciarossa, Tuscany

£11.50 inc. VAT

Baby Super Tuscan that’s a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Canaiolo. Ripe, savoury and succulent this goes beautifully with a hearty stew

SKU: RITR103 Categories: , ,

Description

A wonderful ‘baby’ Super Tuscan from the coastal region of Maremma, and this gives superb bang for buck. It’s a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot with a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon and the local grape Canaiolo. 2016 was a wonderful vintage in this part of Tuscany and the rich and savoury flavours of this tell it all. Aged in tank rather than oak, all the complexity of this delicious red comes from the ripe succulent fruit picked from vineyards local to to Querciarossa farm. Osa translates as ‘to dare’ and many happy wine drinkers are glad that they did!
