2016 Bandana ‘Roja’ Bobal/Syrah, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla

£8.00 inc. VAT

Very drinkable red  that’s rich and intense with ripe black fruit characters and soft tannins. And you’ve got to love that decadent label

From vineyards on the highlands near the ‘Grand Canyon’ of the river Gabriel in Eastern Spain, rebel winemaker Inma Pérez blends select batches to create this rich and intense wine from Bobal and Syrah grapes. The deeply coloured skins of old-vine Bobal grapes give this wine its intensity and soft tannins whilst the Syrah fleshes out the body with ripe black fruit characters.

Nice with a chorizo topped pizza.

I can’t believe it’s not Gavi!

This superb Cortese from Piemonte gives many a more expensive Gavi a run for their money. So what’s in a name? Gavi di Gavi is certainly one that brings to mind classy Italian white and a price tag to match. This wine isn’t a Gavi di Gavi but it’s darn close to one as it […]
