Wine Dinner at Chapman’s Canterbury featuring Songbird Wines

Songbird Wines is hosting a wine dinner at Chapman’s restaurant in Canterbury on Thursday 8th October. Chapman’s is now under the stewardship of Byron Hayter who is development Head Chef for the boutique luxury hotel group Harbour Hotels. He has a wealth of experience in fine dining and has transformed the menu at the St. Dunstan’s restaurant.

The dinner features wines from the newly launched wine list and includes some of Songbird Wines finest producers. Numbers are limited to 20 guests and the price per head is £49.

  • 2017 Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc/Viognier, Napa Valley, USA 
  • RYE SEABASS – CRAB – MANGO – LIME – CORIANDER
  • 2019 Domaine des Tourelles Rosé, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
  •  35 DAY AGED BEEF RUMP – LOBSTER “RAV” – LOBSTER BISQUE
  • 2017 Chianti Classico, Castello dei Rampolla, Tuscany, Italy
  • “BAKEWELL TART” BLACK CHERRY – PASTRY – ALMOND
  • 2017 Domaine de Grange Neuve, Monbazillac, France

The chef will introduce the food by course while ‘Songbird’ gives a little history about each wine and why they have been chosen.

Numbers are limited to 20 people and £10 deposit is required at the time of booking.

All seating is socially distanced, and all government guidelines have will be followed.

A vegetarian menu can be offered on the night
