Unmissable New Super Tuscan Just Arrived in UK

So, what do we have here?

Only a 2016 Super Tuscan from a plot of 35 year old Cabernet Franc vines located on the southern facing slope of the hill that houses the beautiful Abbey of Sant’Amtimo. The vineyard sits at 450m and the soil is a mixture of limestone, marl stone and clay. The wine is matured in Tonneaux (900 litre barrels) which gives just a subtle hint of oak. What a find this is – as soon as you pull the cork and pour you know this is something special. The nose isn’t your classic Cabernet Franc as there’s touches of black cherry and spice along with the black brambly fruit and wild herbs. It’s incredibly expressive and is unmistakably Tuscan with its aroma of pure class. Medium to full bodied on the palate with plenty of silky tannins and excellent depth and structure. The local terroir is doing its stuff here as it sits somewhere between a Brunello and a classy ‘Right Bank’ Bordeaux.

This delicious wine is retailing at just £26 per bottle, however most of the shipment was pre-sold. There are a handful of bottles remaining and can be ordered here.
